1.) Server news #1: Microsoft Hyper-V Server 2012 Core available
In addition to the licensed editions of Windows Server 2012, we are now offering a free Hyper-V Server 2012 core. This combines all the features of Hyper-V standard or Datacenter versions of Windows Server 2012. Hyper-V Server 2012 Core can be installed via the customer panel and can be managed via Remote Desktop. To administer the VM’s, PowerShell (on Windows 8) or the Hyper-V Manager can be used.
Hyper-V Server 2012 core contains the innovations of paid hypervisors. In addition to the higher performance (up to 320 logical CPUs, 4 TB physical RAM and 1 TB of virtual RAM per VM) it includes various features. This especially concerns the point storage (storage QoS, faster live migration, online resizing of VHDX files.)
Hyper-V Server 2012 core can be operated as a stand-alone host or in an Active Directory domain. As opposed to Windows Server 2012, the rights to run the host operating system are not included. The Hyper-V Server 2012 Core is especially suitable for virtualization of Linux systems or VDI solutions.
More features:
– Replication of VMs between Hyper-V hosts
– Live migration of VM’s
– VHDX supports hard drives up to 64 TB
– SMB in Version 2.2
Limitations:
– no rights for virtualizing Windows guests
– Host virtualization limited (other services such as ADS, DNS, or DHCP can not be operated in parallel)
– no GUI (Administration via Powershell or command line required)

2.) Server news #2: „Misurfi“ server without setup fee
Order your new server now:
No setup fees until 2013-09-30 for all dedicated servers of the „Misurfi“ series.
The „Misurfi“ servers are especially suited for beginners because of their good hardware at a very reasonable price or for self-employed individuals who put a value on their own hosting on a dedicated server.

3.) Webspace news: Adaptation of WebDAV paths
All webspace plans got a change since 2013-09-18 regarding the WebDAV paths. When using WebDAV access the Root directory of the current <FTP-account> / www / data, changes to <FTP-account> / www.
This change has two backgrounds. Firstly, the log files can be easily accessed via WebDAV, secondly, the stored CGI scripts on your webspace can be managed directly.
To edit the web page data, change to „data“ folder as usual.
Working with cPanel: automated installation on your dedicated server
A preconfigured installation of CentOS 6 with cPanel is now available for all dedicated servers.
cPanel is one of the leading server configuration- and administration tools in the market. Its extensive configuration and customization options make it especially suitable for resellers.
The user has access to 2 different interfaces, WebHost Manager and the cPanel interface.
With WebHost Manager (WHM) the user has access to complex server management tools. This includes user and customer management, DNS and FTP configuration as well as many security settings. Resellers can manage their own customers and plans. Extensive branding options provide the ability to customize the looks of the panel.
For customers cPanel provides all necessary tools needed to administrate websites. It provides interfaces for management of Email addresses, FTP accounts, databases, security settings and many more features.
The installation of cPanel and WHM based on CentOS 6 can be performed via our customer panel. For servers with multiple hdds a version with software raid 1 is available.
Note: The installation comes with a 15 day trial license. A license key is needed for the operation of cPanel and WHM after the trial period. Licenses can be purchased online directly from cpanel under https://store.cpanel.net/.

Recently, the operating systems Fedora 19 and XenServer 6.2 are available in the customer center for installation on all dedicated servers.
** Fedora 19 **
Like every Fedora release, „Schrödinger’s Cat“ also comes with the latest and experimental software. Thus, besides a tech preview of Java 8, the DNS Server BIND version 10 and PHP 5.5. are available. As an init and system management tool systemd 204 comes as usual and shows up with new features. These include „systemd-nspawn“, which ensures the provision of unmodified Fedora container on a host. Furthermore, the regulation of resource utilization of services during the term is added. Systemd in Fedora 19 is also compatible with SysVinit. Fedora 19 can be installed in version „Standard“ or „RAID 1“.
More feautres:

All functions of the previous Premium variants are now available without a license. A license for the Citrix support is necessary, the licensing ensued per physical CPU. XenServer 6.2 is available as installation using LVM.
More features and changes:
– Performance improvements and an increase in the threshold to 500 VMs per host
– Full integration of performance monitoring and Supplemental Packs
– Support for new guest-operating-systems: Windows 8, Windows Server 2012, Debian Wheezy, and much more

2.) VPS News#1: Implementation of traffic flat-rate
So far, the VPS plans M, L, XL, ProM, ProL as well as ProXL were available with a monthly free volume at full bandwidth. Upon reaching the free volume, the connection was throttled to 10Mbit/s. This restriction has been removed – thus, each VPS has an unlimited traffic flat-rate without forced throttling.

3.) VPS News#2: VPS with monthly contract term
So far, the VPS plans were offered with a 3- and 12-month contract term with automatic renewal. In addition, the term of 1 month with one month’s notice and automatic renewal has been added. The monthly rates are remained the same, the setup fee is slightly higher.
Until the end of August 2013 there is no setup fee for all VPS. You save up to 29.90 EUR. Additional information at

4.) Support-information: New Wiki instruction „Xen with Cloudmin“
EUserv has been extended the wiki for the operating system image „Debian 6.0r0 with Xen 4 and Cloudmin“. Cloudmin is an interface, based on Webmin, that allows the simple administration of virtual machines on Xen. With the web interface, virtual machines can be easily created and controlled. The Guide covers all necessary steps – from installation up to the use of Cloudmin.
The guide is can be find in the EUserv wiki under the following link:

1.) Server News: Bandwidth type Selector in beta testing/ switching to traffic flat rate
For all users of a dedicated server at EUserv , the new feature „bandwidth type“ is available in the customer center since today.
At first sight it is kind of unimpressive, but it comes with a significant innovation: A traffic flat rate – without forced restriction, no extra charge and available for all server plans.
Since we do not want to do anything without sufficient testing and supply the best quality to each customer, this function will run for a certain time in the beta test. We start with a „100 Mbps unmetered / flat no SLA“ – option. More options will follow. This also applies to servers with 1Gbps port and does not mean their restriction.
During the beta test, you can completely use this feature. We will also optimize and expand our network for this function. We ask you for feedback and questions in the forum.
All customers who do not want to change anything, use the default setting „standard“. This setting corresponds to the standard of the bandwidth type/ traffic charge included in the respective plan.

2.) vServer News: Additional modules for iptables
The vServer – surroundings „test environment for vserver Trial“ and the „live systems“ have been extended to the following modules. The modules allow an advanced configuration using IPTABLES. The loading of modules can be done by restarting the vServer.
The new modules are: xt_iprange, ipt_mac, ipt_connlimit, ipt_comment, ipt_addrtype, xt_connbytes, xt_hashlimit, xt_policy, xt_recent, xt_socket, xt_string, xt_time

3.) Support-Information: New Wiki instruction „OpenXenManager“
With the release of XenServer 6.1 for fully automatic installation in the EUserv customer center, we have ready a useful guide for all Linux users in our Wiki. With OpenXenManager you can create your own VM’s, clone, start and stop without much effort in a few minutes. The included tools also allow you a solid monitoring of hosts and virtual machines – The EUserv Wiki shows how it’s done:
